Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Hope everyone was wearing green!  The girls and I certainly were!

Dinner tonight was colcannon, corned beef (which I won't show you because quite frankly it looks like boiled baboon butt although it tastes delicious), cabbage and beer of course.  Well, no beer for the kids but I am hoping you guessed that!

Here is my colcannon coming out of the oven.  Well, actually its still in the oven but I was about to take it out!

My Cupcake Maker!

For her birthday Maddy was given a Gourmet Girl Cupcake Maker.

We never got around to using it despite her repeated pleas to do so.

I know....bad mommy.

But today was the day!

Woohoo!

I redeemed myself I hope.

Anyways....here is the process.

Add the mix to the bowl and stir....

Put the batter into a cupcake holder then into its microwave container and nuke it for 30 seconds....

And voila - cupcake!  

Now to decorate!  Insert your cupcake under the fancy-dancy cupcake decorator....

pull down the handle....

almost there....

and its iced!

Its not a cupcake without sprinkles!

Gala Pics

This past weekend both of my girls were asked to perform at the school's big fundraising gala.  It was really an honor for them to be asked - there weren't many kids who were.

Emily did her lyrical solo and Maddy did a number with 7 other grade 3 girls.  They had so much fun that night!
