Hanging On To The Holidays

I'm not ready to let the holidays go quite yet.

 

 

I'll admit I was slow to get into them this year but once that "feeling" set in it was all unicorns and rainbows around here.  Well, not literally unicorns and rainbows - more like reindeer and snowmen but you know what I'm saying.

 

I feel like I've just finally got my holiday groove on and today is the last day.  Back to real life tomorrow.  I'm just not ready.

 

Not ready for the tree to go away, to let go of all the holiday cards that flooded my mail box, to pack away the memories of Christmas morning, of hot chocolate and Christmas carols, of standing in the snow at midnight to bring in the new year.

 

I'm just not ready.

 

So for today I've lit some candles and snuggled in on the couch with a blanket and my girls and we're munching on the last of the shortbread soaking in these last few hours.

 

Keeping those reindeer flying!
